How To Become a Member

All applicants must be residents of San José. Request a copy of the application form from
the Office of the City Clerk (408) 277-4424. Return your completed original application by
mail or in person to:

Applications are valid for one year from the date of application.
Active recruitment to fill commission vacancies takes place in
February and August, each year. All applications go through a series
of review steps established by the Project Diversity Screening Committee.
The process takes approximately four months. Final appointments
to the Commission are made by the City Council.
