Statement of Policy & Text
|
|
|
This policy establishes the location requirements for non-English newspapers and non-English magazines held by SJPL and SJSU in the King Library.
- Non-English newspapers and magazines held by SJPL King LIbrary Branch are located in the Languages area, 3rd floor.
- Non-English magazines held by the SJSU Library are located in the Lower Level.
- Non-English magazines held by the SJSU Library that are not duplicates of those owned by the SJPL are located in the Lower Level, Periodical Browsing area.

Need for the Policy
|
|
|
Both the University and the City subscribe to non-English language periodicals, which are for convenience of users, located in various areas of the Library.
|
|
Requirements & Guidelines
|
|
|
- In the King Libary, all of the non-English SJPL-owned material is located in General Collections/3rd floor Languages area.
- In the King Library, all of the SJSU owned non-English newspapers and non-English magazines are located in the Lower Level Periodicals Collection, except for Cultural Heritage Center materials.
