All applicants must be residents of San José. Request a copy of the application form from the Office of the City Clerk (408) 535-1260. Return your completed original application by mail or in person to:

Applications are valid for one year from the date of application.

Active recruitment to fill commission vacancies takes place in February and August, each year. All applications go through a series of review steps established by the Project Diversity Screening Committee. The process takes approximately four months. Final appointments to the Commission are made by the City Council. Click here for a brochure about the Early Care Commission.
